The National Academy of Neapolitan Song and Operetta was founded in Rome in 2006.
The creator and founder is Carlo Monticelli Cuggiò, a Neapolitan Orchestra Director and Pianist, who wished to pay tribute to his city.
The Academy organizes Courses, Concerts, and Masterclasses on Neapolitan Classical Song and Operetta worldwide,
for singers and accompanying pianists. However, starting from 2023, it also takes on the task of archiving and making the performances (both audio and video) of more or less famous singers available for free download.
These performers have done great honor to these two musical styles, which are often belittled or underestimated.
The emotional power that they carry with them is something that is never fully understood.
The true Culture contained within them is guarded by true angels.
We are absolutely convinced that it is important to keep these musical genres alive to strengthen traditions and to widely spread their communicative strength.
The greatest singers of the past have made Neapolitan Classical Song their "trump card"!
They were their most requested and applauded "encores".
The arias and duets of Operetta have nothing to envy to those of Opera!
We are honored to try to ensure that all of this is not lost, and everyone can contribute to this purpose. In a free and completely free manner.

L' Accademia Nazionale della Canzone napoletana e dell' Operetta è stata fondata a Roma nel 2006 .
L' ideatore e fondatore è Carlo Monticelli Cuggiò , Direttore d' Orchestra e Pianista napoletano, che ha così voluto omaggiare la sua città .
L' Accademia organizza, in tutto il Mondo, Corsi Concerti e Masterclass sulla Canzone Classica napoletana e sull' Operetta, per cantanti e pianisti accompagnatori, ma si occupa dal 2023, anche di archiviare e rendere scaricabili gratuitamente, le esibizioni ( audio e video ) di cantanti più o meno famosi ma che, tuttavia, hanno reso ben onore a questi due stili musicali che spesso, vengono sviliti o sottovalutati .
Non si conosce infatti, mai abbastanza la potenza emozionale che essi portano con se .
La vera Cultura che in essi è contenuta e di cui sono veri e propri angeli custodi.
Noi siamo assolutamente convinti che sia importante mantenere vivi questi Generi musicali !
Per fortificare le tradizioni e divulgare, quanto più possibile, la loro forza comunicativa.
I più grandi cantanti del passato hanno fatto della Canzone Classica napoletana i loro veri e propri " assi nella manica " !
Erano i loro "bis" più richiesti ed applauditi.
Le arie e duetti di Operetta hanno nulla da invidiare alle arie e duetti d' Opera lirica !
Noi siamo onorati nel cercare di fare in modo che tutto questo non vada perduto e tutti possono contribuire a questo scopo. In modo libero e totalmente gratuito.
